Russia hides the scale of COVID-19: a third of a million patients and 3,000

In Russia, 367 193 people infected with COVID-19, of whom 2974 died. This conclusion was made by the journalist Zintis Znotiņš (Latvia) in an in an analytical article, specially for International Center for Counteracting Russian Propaganda.

«It is no secret that hospitals in Russia, particularly in Moscow, are unable to handle the crisis. Information has appeared in media outlets and social networks saying that large lines of emergency vehicles are forming as they wait for the patients to be admitted to hospitals. We also cannot ignore the fact that in this period Russia saw a rapid increase in cases of pneumonia» – the journalist writes.

At the same time, the Kremlin and Russian propaganda continue to imitate humanitarian aid to other countries in the fight against the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
